Your Home is being marketed on the Net; Is anyone seeing it?

According to Hitwise, a company which provides insights on how 10 million Internet users interact with more than 1 million websites, across 165+ industries, has provided their monthly traffic report on real estate websites.  If your listing or property for sale is not on several of these top sites, you need to start asking why. The sites are ranked on share of visits from a total Hitwise sample of 10 million Internet users.

Realtor.com seems to own the top spot with a 6.97 percent of the market share of all visits to real estate-related web sites.

Yahoo Real Estate (realestate.yahoo.com) ranked second with a 4.38 percent share, followed closely by Zillow.com (3.1 percent) which held third position again this month.  How about the rest of the top 10? ZipRealty.com , Rent.com, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s, HomeGain.com, ServiceMagic.com, and Trulia.com rounded out the list.
