| real estate listings | +90% | |||
| zillow real estate | +40% | |||
| zillow | +40% | |||
| trulia real estate | +40% | |||
| trulia | +40% | |||
| real estate values | +40% | |||
| real estate foreclosures | +40% | |||
Rising searches, as defined by Google, highlight searches that have experienced significant growth in a given time period, with respect to the preceding time period. So if you’re comparing data for a search term during 2006, the time period serving as the basis of comparison is 2005. Similarly, if you’re comparing searches for that term during May of 2006, the basis of comparison is April of 2006.
As I keep saying, if you are not on Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com, you are missing out on some needed exposure to your home for sale! Routinely these three Web sites are No.’s 1,2, and 5 in every Top 10 list based upon real estate traffic. While searches are slower right now due to the holidays, make sure if you are trying to sell your property that you are represented in each of these sites.
Also, make sure you have at least 25 photos of your home online. Realtor.com, which is #1 in real estate listing traffic, allows Buyers to search homes based on the number of photos you have online! If you have less than 25 you won’t be at the top of the search. I did a search for someone yesterday, for example, that had four (4) photos online at Realtor.com, Trulia, and Zillow. In their area there were 269 other homes for sale in a tight price range of $200,000-$225,000. There were 27 pages of listings at Realtor.com. The first 8 pages were full of homes that had at least 25 photos online. Do you think this homeowner’s property will ever be seen by Buyers?!
Exposure is one thing, but if you get on the sites that everyone else is getting on who also has a home listed for sale, are you on page 1 or page 27? Do your own due diligence to make sure your representation is fairly representing you!
